R. L. Galloway surveying has been fortunate over the years to have been called upon to complete some very interesting, complicated and high profile land projects. Below you will find just a few ongoing projects and those that have been completed over the years.
Crossroads Elementary School
Crossroads is a $24.8 Million dollar project currently underway in Norfolk. This project is being built in phases to allow the current facitlity to operate while the new one is being built.
During construction the old building will be phased out when the new one is ready for occupancy.
Chesapeake City Park
This is an ongoing large renovation of the Chesapeake City park on Greenbrier Parkway. This site is home to many local functions and activities such as the Chesapeake Jubilee and the annual Bark in the Park. The park is currently closed through the completion of the project with the exception of the temporary dog park and fun forest, which will both remain open during construction. The scope of work for this phase includes roads, paved walkways, new shelters, a permanent restroom facility, earthwork to build a low-rise ampitheater area,
a dedicated farmers market, a new skate park and other improvements.
Construction is estimated to be complete by July 2012.
Wesleyan Drive State Highway Project
This project includes the re-alignment of Wesleyan Drive to Baker road. It consist of new roadway, all new utilities and the reconstruction of the
intersection at Northampton blvd and Wesleyan Drive.
Supreme Allied command Transformation (SACT) Building, Naval Support Activity (NSA) Norfolk, Va
This project in underway and includes the construction of 4,930 Square Meters of additions for office and support functions to SACT HQ's Building NH-31; demolition of the existing building NH-31-B and construction of a the new facility, the construction of a separate 3,045 SM office building to accommodate the National Liaison Representatives (NLR). This project also includes the removal and replacement of an existing road, increased parking area and increased and improved supporting infrastructure.
Lake Prince Woods Retirement Community-
Lake Prince Woods celebrates 172 beautiful acres of serene comfortable living for adults ages 62 and better. Lake Prince offers Cottage homes, Villas, Apartment living, and a Community Center. They also pride themselves with their Assisted Living, state of the art Wellness Center and Alzheimer Care.
Stoney Run Community Center
A new Community center off Warwick Boulevard in Newport News.
